Dry Brushing

This is a quick and easy habit I try to remember especially in the winter. Our skin is the largest organ of our body and adding in dry brushing right before a shower has a lot of health benefits. Here are just a few:

  • Detoxifies your skin by promoting circulation

  • Flushes the lymphatic system which improves inflammation and immunity

  • Improves digestion and kidney functionHelps reduce cellulite.


All you need is a dry bristled brush that can be purchased at most box stores such as Target or Meijer. Start at your feet and with short strokes, brush upward towards the heart. Next move to your arms, start at the hands and again, brush upwards towards the heart. Next, brush your back. Brush in towards the center of your chest and clockwise around the abdomen.
